FOOD PROVIDED IN MY CARE

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Homemade food is healthier for you because it allows complete control over ingredients, ensuring higher nutritional value with fewer additives, preservatives, salt, and sugar. It promotes better health through fresher, nutrient-dense ingredients, helps prevent picky eating by introducing diverse tastes and textures, and provides better, more balanced nutrition.  Plus all meat (beef, chicken, pork) are from local Butchers also most fruits & vegetables provided are Canadian Farmers.

Why Homemade?

Key benefits of homemade include:

  • Higher Nutrient Content: Homemade meals often have more vitamins and minerals compared to commercial alternatives, which can sometimes have lower nutritional value.

  • Control Over Additives: Homemade food skips unnecessary sodium, preservatives, and artificial flavors frequently added to processed, store-bought items.

  • Reduced Sugar and Fat: While some studies note that home cooking can be energy-dense, it generally allows for lower, more controlled amounts of added salt and sugar compared to packaged products.

  • Greater Variety & Taste Exposure: Preparing food at home enables parents to introduce a wider range of vegetables, proteins, and textures, which helps develop healthier eating habits.

  • Cost-Effectiveness: Cooking at home is often more economical, particularly when using seasonal, fresh ingredients, allowing for better quality food at a lower price per serving.
